Pickup Ability and Item Table

Complete item table for the Pickup ability in Pokémon Emerald.

Introduction

Pickup made its debut in Generation III, and it's still one of the most set-and-forget abilities around: a Pokémon with Pickup and no held item has a small chance each step to find an item after battle. What it finds depends on its level - higher-level Pokémon get a shot at rarer stuff.

This table breaks down exactly what's available at each level range, so you can figure out whether it's worth leveling up your Pickup Pokémon or if you're already in the right range.

A Pokemon with the Pickup ability and no held item has a 10% chance each step to find an item. Which item depends on its level: most of the time it comes from the base table, but there is a small (2%) chance of a rarer item instead.
